Inside Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Remote in Germany

European industry is losing speed—not because engineering talent is missing, but because variant creation is still too slow. wailand is building a platform that automates this process step by step—across tool boundaries, with real impact in engineers’ daily work. To build a category leader, we need a sales motion that doesn’t just “ask nicely,” but drives conversations that move things forward. As Inside Sales Manager, you open the market for us: you call, you lead, you challenge—and you book the meetings.

Your mission
  • You’re our cold-calling machine: you love picking up the phone, you run high call volume, you stay persistent—and you turn that into first meetings with the right decision makers.

  • You operate strictly by Challenger Sales: you bring a clear point of view, teach a new perspective, challenge the status quo—and drive the conversation toward a concrete next step.

  • We provide clear target account definitions, personas, pitches, and materials—you use them consistently in the field.

  • You feed learnings from calls back immediately: What triggers interest? What’s the real objection? Where do decision makers get stuck? Which phrasing works?

  • You ensure marketing and sales truly align: our content isn’t built in an ivory tower—your calls sharpen it until it works in real customer conversations.

  • You train your pitch with highly qualified internal counterparts (founders, engineering, FDEs) and prepare meetings so they land.

  • You qualify hard: problem, urgency, fit, stakeholders, next step—without counting “friendly interest” as pipeline.

What you bring
  • You have proven drive for cold calling and you’re not afraid of rejection—you get better because of it.

  • You can lead conversations with direction: clear, calm, assertive. You’re not trying to be nice—you’re trying to create impact.

  • Ideally you have experience in B2B/tech/industry-related prospecting—or you learn extremely fast and bring serious grit.

  • You like structure and measurement: you work in clear routines, track activity, and improve every month.

  • You’re curious about industrial and engineering contexts and can ramp up fast—without buzzword theater.

  • You want to work in a high-performance culture: high talent density, direct standards, clear goals, clear ownership.

If you love cold calling, live Challenger Sales—and want to help build a category in industrial software, we should talk.

  1. your background (or why you’re obsessed with this),

  2. one example of how you handle objections, and

  3. how many qualified first meetings per week you can realistically deliver.

We believe diverse teams make better decisions and build stronger systems. That’s why we welcome people with different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. What matters to us is competence, ownership, and attitude—regardless of gender, origin, religion, sexual identity, age, or disability.
